Terms of Use
Last updated: September 27, 2026
The short version
- ✓ Earnclock is a personal tool for tracking time and estimating earnings.
- ✓ Pro is a one-time App Store purchase ($8.99 in the US; local prices vary by country), not a subscription.
- ✓ Figures in the app are estimates, not payroll, tax or financial advice.
- ✓ Your data stays yours, as described in our Privacy Policy.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and [Publisher legal name] (“we”, “us”) and govern your use of the Earnclock app for iPhone and Apple Watch, its widgets and Live Activities (the “App”), and this website. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including Family Sharing where enabled. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute or resell the App, except where the law expressly allows it.
3. Earnclock Pro
- Earnclock is free to download. Earnclock Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks additional features for as long as the App is offered. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. The price of Pro depends on the country or region of your App Store account and is charged in that storefront's currency, including any taxes Apple collects there. $8.99 is the United States price; prices elsewhere differ and are not a direct currency conversion.
- Prices may change over time, including automatic adjustments Apple makes for exchange rates and taxes. The price you pay is the one shown in the App Store when you confirm the purchase.
- Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- You can restore Pro on your other devices using the same Apple ID via Settings → Upgrade to Pro → Restore.
- We may add, change or remove features over time. We'll try hard not to remove features you paid for, but we can't promise that every feature will be available forever.
4. Estimates, not advice
Earnclock calculates earnings, projections, goal progress and work-time costs from the rates, schedules and sessions you enter. Currency conversions use exchange rates from a third-party source that may be delayed or inaccurate.
All figures are estimates for personal information only. They are not payroll records, invoices, tax documents, or financial, legal or tax advice. Check anything important with your employer, client or a qualified professional. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for how you use the results.
5. Your data
Your data belongs to you. It is stored on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud account. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled. Because we don't hold a copy of your data, we can't recover it if it's lost. Keep iCloud or device backups turned on if your records matter to you.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the App for anything unlawful, and don't try to interfere with it, bypass its purchase checks or access parts of it you haven't unlocked.
7. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that calculations will be accurate.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, earnings, data or goodwill arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Apple-specific terms
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
- Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, or intellectual property infringement claims.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the new Terms. You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may end your license if you seriously breach these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Country], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory laws of the country where you live.
