Privacy Policy

The short version

Who we are
This policy explains how the Earnclock app for iPhone, Apple Watch and its widgets (“Earnclock”, “we”, “us”) handles your information, and how this website does too. If you have any questions, contact us at support@earnclock.app.
Data you enter in the app
To work, Earnclock stores the information you give it: work profiles (job names, hourly rates, currencies and schedules), work sessions (start and end times, pauses, earnings), financial goals and your app settings.
This data is stored locally on your device. It is shared with your Apple Watch, widgets and Live Activities on the same device through Apple's on-device frameworks. It is never sent to servers operated by us.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, Earnclock syncs your data across your devices using Apple's CloudKit, in your private iCloud database. That data is tied to your Apple ID and managed by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. We cannot access it. You can turn off iCloud for Earnclock at any time in iOS Settings.
Currency exchange rates
When you use multi-currency features, the app downloads current exchange rates from the Frankfurter open-source API. These requests contain only currency codes, never your earnings or any personal information. Like any web request, the provider can see your device's IP address.
Purchases
Earnclock Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment, and we never receive your name, email or payment details.
To verify and restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID, your App Store purchase receipt and history, and basic device information (such as device model, OS version, app version, country and IP address). It is not linked to your name or Apple ID, and is not used for advertising or tracking. Your earnings, rates, sessions and goals are never sent to RevenueCat.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Earnclock schedules reminders and milestone alerts on your device. We do not use push-notification servers or collect notification data.
Analytics and tracking
The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell your data or share it with anyone beyond the service providers described above.
This website
This website does not use cookies. To understand how the site is used, we use PostHog in cookieless mode: it records anonymous usage such as pages visited, buttons and links clicked, referrer, browser, device type and approximate country. Nothing is stored on your device, visitors are not identified, and this data is not used for advertising or shared with anyone else. Our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability, for a limited time.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your data: delete work profiles, sessions and goals in the app, or delete the app. To remove synced data, delete it in the app while iCloud is on, or manage it in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
- Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we don't hold your app data, most requests are handled directly on your device or by Apple. Contact us if you need help.
Children
Earnclock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Earnclock handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
